The Spring issue of Cape May Magazine begins our seventh year anniversary and we have an exciting line-up. We are thrilled to present a cover shot by the world-famous birder/author and Cape May Magazine columnist Richard Crossley. In addition to his column Brit’s Eye View, Richard also writes about what it was like to participate in the World Series of Birding, or as he refers to it, The New Jersey Birdathon‚ some 20 years ago when traveled across the pond from England to take part in this very successful event.
We also paid a visit to the county’s newest entrepreneurial venture, Cape May Brewing Company. A father, a son, and a college buddy started it all on a shoestring and on a Saturday afternoon in February, people couldn’t get enough of their home brew. Local historian Robert Elwell offers a fascinating tale about A Race to Success when in 1905 a young and daring Henry Ford met with an equally determined Louis Chevrolet on Cape May’s beach to race their gasoline machines. This and much, much more.
