Winter 2011

Cape May Magazine’s Winter issue is here and it’s a gem from beginning to end. Karen Fox’s feature The Painter & the Poet takes us into the world of poet Janice Wilson Stridick as well as that of her late mother, watercolorist Alice Steer Wilson. Not only is the piece a good read, but a visual treasure.

Speaking of treasures and peeking inside – Linda Fowler paid a visit to our local B&B owners to ask them about a Few of Their Favorite Things. As you would imagine, they pride themselves on their collections which include everything from Abraham Lincoln’s cradle to scantily-clad diving girl figurines. It’s a fun piece.

And we are sure you will find Tommy Raniszewski’s Islander profile as delightful as we did. He interviews Parade Lady, aka Underdog Lady, aka Suzanne Muldowney. Suzanne is a Cape Island fixture. It simply would not be a parade without her.

We have these features and so much more. Persnickety Chef embraces an old-fashioned American Christmas complete with Standing Rib Roast and yummy Cheddar-Horseradish-Chive Mashed Potatoes and Stefanie Godfrey takes her boys bowling is this issue’s Day Tripper.

Can you ask for anything more? From all of us to all of you – Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hanukah and we’re sure we’ve missed a few so let’s round it off with Happy Holidays.
